The body of the Charvel Satchel Signature DK22 adheres to the beloved Dinky shape, long favored by shredders for its sleek contours and ergonomic feel. The alder body offers a resonant and balanced tone, while its compact design ensures comfort and full control, even during extended playing sessions. Its bolt-on maple neck, reinforced with graphite, ensures incredible neck stability, even under heavy touring or aggressive playing styles. The thin speed neck profile, paired with a compound fretboard radius, creates an ideal surface for fast legato lines, tapping runs, and complex chord voicings. Generous cutaways further enhance access to higher frets, letting your solos soar across the entire fretboard.
For his signature model, Satchel selected a set of modern Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic humbuckers – a perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and tonal versatility. These pickups, powered by Alnico V magnets, are renowned for their high output, transparent response, and precise articulation, making them ideal for everything from classic rock to aggressive metal. A push/pull switch integrated into the volume knob allows seamless switching between two distinct voicings.
