Made from North American maple, the DW Performance Shell Set Rock Gold Mist Laquer is a spectacular drum set in DW's popular quality. The shells, each eight-ply thick, have been glued together using DW's proprietary HVXconstruction method for a deep fundamental with powerful projection. Remo-made heads are held in place by triple-flanged steel hoops on the 45° shell ridges. So that the two suspended toms can also develop their sound in the best possible way, they are held free-swinging by DW's suspension Tom mounts tom mounts.

The Maple shells feature the usual excellent DW quality, with precise attack and sustain characteristics and an impressive depth of sound. The True Pitch tension screws allow for precise fine tuning of the drums and ensure consistent tuning stability. This allows the DW Performance Shell set to always be optimally adapted to personal preferences and specific musical style.
