The Elta Music TSC 12 is a touch controller with expressive possibilities to bring your sounds to life. The module is an extract from the Solar 42N Ambient Machine and has been tailored to the needs of Eurorack users. Functionally, the TSC 12 offers three main functions: keyboard, Arpeggiator and sequencer. In keyboard mode, you can choose between single, twin or Split mode; this refers to how the touch strips can be used. You can also set whether the touchstripes generate a specific note or a continuous CV value in the range of 0-8 volts. Incidentally, the keyboard is not pressure-sensitive; the capacitive keys react to the increasing or decreasing surface area of the fingers on them. Portamento, i.e. gliding between notes, can be activated and the module can also generate a vibrato LFO if required. The pressure output can alternatively be switched to ASR (Attack / Sustain / Release) or (looped) AD (Attack / Decay) envelope. The fifth option at this output generates random voltages. The arpeggiator and the sequencer can be synchronized to an external clock signal or run to the internal clock. Both functions have four directions of movement and are widely adjustable. A pattern in sequencer mode can have a length of 16 steps. The TSC 12 has four presets available for configurations; this allows you to quickly switch between fundamentally different settings and specific calibrations can be restored at the touch of a button.
