Stephen Carpenter Signature electric guitar with HHS pickup setup
As a longtime ESP endorser, Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter now has his own 6-string electric guitar with the ESP LTD SC-20 3-Tone Sunburst, following several extended-range models. The guitar features a full-length neck and an unusual HHS pickup configuration: an ESP-designed LS-120 single coil at the neck, an LH-150 humbucker in the middle, and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JBhumbucker at the bridge, providing powerful, classic US tones. Thanks to the TonePros Locking Tune-o-Matic bridge and ESP in-house tuners, the LTD SC-20 delivers resonant sound, direct response, and reliable tuning stability with fewer axle windings. The neck-thru design further enhances sustain and playability. Finally, glow-in-the-dark side dots mark positions along the 24-fret ebony fingerboard, ensuring easy navigation even on dark stages.
