With the Percolator , Electro Harmonix is launching a modern interpretation of a 1970s fuzz pedal, based on a design from an audio workshop in Milwaukee. Inspired by the circuitry of this rare cult pedal, the Percolator covers both dynamic overdrive and aggressive fuzz sounds with gated and octave-like characteristics. The asymmetrical clipping circuit produces pronounced even harmonics and responds extremely sensitively to playing dynamics and technique. The sound can be flexibly shaped using the Harmonics, Bias and Balance controls, as well as the Drive/Fuzz switch , whilst an internal trim potentiometer unlocks additional sub-octaves and more gain. Thanks to true bypass and a footswitch with latching and momentary functions, the Percolator is equally suited to classic fuzz sounds and experimental soundscapes
