Steel Tongue Drum with 11 tones in Mixed Tone D with overwhelming sound

The Fame FST10-DB Steel Tongue Drum 10" Mix Tone D is a steel tongue drum with 11 notes, tuned in Mixed Tone D (D4/D5/E4/F#4/G4/A3/A4/B3/B4/C#4/C#5). The steel tongue drum can be played either traditionally with the fingertips or with the enclosed mallets. The sound is clean, clear and soothing, reminiscent of the sound of handpans. The spherical tapestry of sound is suitable for music therapy, meditation or as an addition to a percussion set-up. The Fame Steel Tongue Drum is powder coated, resulting in a pleasant feel and precise playing sensation. Due to the precisely cut steel tongues, the basic sound of the Fame Steel Tongue Drum is surprisingly loud and assertive, but without losing its meditative character. A padded bag and a pair of hard rubber mallets are included.

Meditative sound thanks to perfect workmanship

The drum can be played with the fingers or the included mallets. In both cases, the result is a clear, bell-like sound. Played with the fingers, the basic sound becomes a bit warmer and more organic, played with mallets, the result is a louder and more static sound.

Thanks to precise cutting techniques, the eleven steel reeds sound clear, loud and clean without producing any interfering frequencies. All eleven reeds are labeled with a number, so simple sequences of notes can be noted. The black coating contributes to the comfortable playing feel.
