Fame Forum IV Modern Satin Black

Electric guitar with curly maple top, Seymour Duncan pickups and piezo pickup system

The Fame Forum IV Modern Satin Black is now available with the matching Fame Forum Gigbag Special!

The Fame Forum IV Modern Satin Black is a versatile electric guitar with a full range of contemporary features and a high level of playing comfort. The slim mahogany body with a chic curly maple top has a comfortable playing position, while the generous cutaways offer unrestricted access across the entire neck. This is made from mahogany and traditionally glued, while the flat "D" profile sits comfortably in the hand so that every riff or lick on the ebony fingerboard comes naturally. At the amplifier, the proven combination of a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz on the neck and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB on the bridge delivers versatile sounds between pop, blues and rock, which are enhanced by authentic single coil sounds thanks to the coil split. The integrated piezo pickup system also provides first-class acoustic guitar sounds, so there are no limits to the tonal variety and musical expression. A Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece and precise locking tuners complete the Fame Forum IV Modern Satin Black.

FAME Forum IV Modern Satin Black
The Fame Forum IV Modern Satin Black combines contemporary full equipment with a high level of playing comfort.

High playing comfort and careful wood selection

The Fame Forum IV Modern is made by experienced luthiers in Europe and therefore impresses with its careful choice of wood and flawless workmanship. The body is made from Khaya mahogany with a top made from curly maple, the unique grain of which is emphasised by the finish. The highlight here is undoubtedly the sharply contoured curvature of the top with a recess in the cutaway, which ensures unhindered playability across all registers. The sapele mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the perfectly proportioned "D" profile, so that every note on the ebony fingerboard almost plays itself.

FAME Forum IV Modern Satin Black Pickups
With two Seymour Duncan humbuckers and a piezo pickup system in the bridge, the Fame Forum IV Modern delivers versatile sounds.

Seymour Duncan humbuckers for sounds between blues and rock

Thanks to the versatile pickup equipment, the Fame Forum IV Modern is particularly flexible in terms of sound. With a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB on the bridge and a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz on the neck, a tried-and-tested pair of humbuckers is used to deliver the right sound for every genre between blues, pop, rock and even metal. The bridge pickup impresses with a high output and the enormous assertiveness of its sharply focused mids, while the neck pickup brings every note to life with endless sustain and a warm vintage voice. Thanks to the coil-split circuit, authentic single-coil sounds with the typical bell-like, clear sound development are also available.

FAME Forum IV Modern Satin Black Detail
The front volume control is designed as a push/pull potentiometer and activates the piezo. The mini switch can be used to split the humbuckers into single coils.

Piezo pickup system

In addition to the magnetic pickups, the Fame Forum IV Modern is equipped with a GraphTech Ghost piezo pick up system, which is integrated into the bridge and has an active preamp. The system is activated via a pull on the front volume control and delivers authentic acoustic guitar sounds with brilliant highs and the typical attack behaviour on the amplifier. The volume of the piezo system can be adjusted via the rear potentiometer so that mixed sounds with the magnetic Seymour Duncan pickups are also possible.

Hardware from Schaller/Gotoh and GraphTech

Last but not least, the Fame Forum IV Modern impresses with its high-quality hardware equipment, which can be used on stage and in the studio with unrestricted reliability. From the traditional stopbar tailpiece, the strings are guided over the GraphTech Resomax Tune-O-Matic bridge, whose string savers made of graphite string savers accommodate the ghost piezo elements. The Black TUSQ nut, behind which the strings on the headstock are held by precise locking tuners, is also made by GraphTech.

Excerpt: Otherwise, perfection down to the last detail. The unlacquered satin surfaces convey an extremely pleasant feel, the ergonomics a high level of playing comfort. Schaller hardware, Seymour Duncan pickups and GraphTech Ghost Piezo Bridge with corresponding preamp - that's how you score plus points. Last but not least, the sound of both guitars is absolutely convincing and, thanks to their very good resonance characteristics, excellent dynamics and stable sustain, they cater for a wide range of different musical genres.
