Hollowbody construction made from basswood
The body of the Fame SE Series Big Boy II is made of laminated basswood, which ensures a balanced resonance and open vibration behaviour. The full-hollow construction supports a warm basic character typical of classic hollowbody guitars. To reduce unwanted feedback, a tone bar is installed under the bridge, which provides additional stability and also allows use at moderate gain settings.
Fame Tron-Style Humbucker
For the electric sound pickup, the Big Boy II is equipped with two Fame Tron-style humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. The pickups work with moderate Output and Alnico magnets and deliver a balanced Vintage-Sound with a clear response and pronounced mid-range presence. As a result, the sound always remains defined and assertive without losing any of its warmth. The circuitry is classic with a 3-way toggle switch, two separate volume controls and an additional treble control for fine-tuning the sound.
