The Fame Wizard Thin Trash Crash 19" is a sandblasted high end crash cymbal made of B20 bronze, handcrafted in Turkey. It impresses with a fast response, multi-layered sound and precisely cut holes that shorten the decay. The elaborate finish is achieved through multiple steps in a renowned Turkish manufactory. After fine hammering, the cymbal surface is sandblasted and the holes are carefully cut, creating its unique look and outstanding sound. The underside is finely turned, producing the popular frequency mix.
The Fame Wizard series delivers a sound that adapts to every playing style. Its tone is characterized by solid response with a clear attack, a dark hiss and an extremely dry fundamental sound. A wide dynamic range and lively character complete the sonic profile. The finely twisted underside adds just the right overtones, perfectly rounding out the cymbal’s broad sound. The sandblasted finish and red stamp provide a contemporary appearance, while the cymbals remain easy to control, making them ideal for studio and stage use.
B20 cymbals contain the highest bronze content on the market, made from an alloy of 80% copper and 20% tin. B20 cymbals are considered the pinnacle of cymbal forging, and most professional cymbals are made from this alloy. The forging process starts with a heated metal piece, shaped by rolling and hammering, with the top usually stamped by machine. The crucial step is painstaking hand hammering, which gives each cymbal its unique pattern and individual profile making every piece truly one of a kind.
