The Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV is the modern reissue of one of Fender’s most versatile guitar combo amplifiers, delivering classic tube tones that sit perfectly between country, blues, and rock. Designed for both stage and studio use, the amplifier offers a powerful yet flexible sound platform that responds dynamically to different playing styles. The modified circuit of the three-channel preamp provides a clearer and more defined character, particularly when using distorted sounds. A tried-and-tested 3-band tone control, shared across all channels, works together with a presence control to allow precise shaping of the amplifier’s overall tone. The integrated spring reverb has also been revised, offering a smooth and musical response that remains clear and well defined even at higher settings. With 40 watts of output power generated by two 6L6 power tubes, the amplifier provides more than enough headroom and volume for most stage situations. A Celestion A-Type Speaker complements the amp’s character with a warm, full sound that enhances its classic Fender tonal profile.
