Player Fusion Stratocaster: A classic with a modern twist
With the new Player Fusion series , Fender is breaking new ground, releasing modern interpretations of popular classics with a contemporary twist. Instead of vintage specifications, traditional pickups and classic tonal ideals, the focus is on a modern sound, fast playability and uncompromising performance. The Fusion Stratocaster combines the classic Strat look with a modern feel, whilst the HSS configuration features Player II Modified Humbucker and two noiseless single-coils sounds significantly more aggressive than the classic single-coil Stratocaster circuit. What’s more, the humbucker can be split via the push/pull tone control, allowing you to extract classic bridge single-coil sounds from the instrument as well. Together with the flat 12-inch ebony fingerboard, jumbo frets and coil-split function , the result is an HSS Strat that is equally suited to precise rhythm playing and modern lead sounds, and goes far beyond the usual genre boundaries of a traditional Stratocaster.
