With the Fender Redondo Sepcial Black Top Limited Edition, the American cult manufacturer Fender expands its California Traditional series with a solid-body electro-acoustic acoustic guitar in the classic dreadnought format and with the characteristic Fender headstock.

Construction and woods

Due to its solid construction, the instrument produces a powerful sound that is especially pronounced in the midrange frequencies thanks to a mahogany top, and is gently complimented by the warm tone of a matching body. A flat mahogany neck with a slim "C" profile and pau ferro fingerboard, combined with a narrow nut width of 43 mm and a scale length of 650 mm, offers the player excellent playability in all 20 frets.

Hardware and material

The saddle and bridge inlays are made of the finest bone material and their conscientious workmanship favours perfect intonation over the entire scale length. The absolute highlight, besides the noble satin finish, is the typical electric guitar headstock with its precise nickel tuners, which can be operated with the help of the tuner integrated into the natural-sounding Fishman pickup system.
