The Fulltone OCD Custom Shop (Candy Apple Red) is an Overdrive/Distortion effect pedal with inimitable dynamics and strong character overtones in limited quantities in the unique Candy Apple Red finish. With the usual controls for volume, drive and tone as well as a switchable gain setting, the sound of the OCD can be perfectly tailored. 2x innovative details on the input and output stages under the hood ensure an even more top-class sound development: The Class-A input stage, with a 2N5457 JFET at its centre, promises a vibrant dynamic response that plays well with single coils and humbuckers, and does not distort the character of the instrument. The output of the Fulltone OCD also contains a buffer amp, which is always active in Enhanced Bypass mode or activated with the effect in True Bypass mode. This prevents long cable runs from causing signal losses in the effect chain arranged after the Fulltone OCD, whilst at the same time reducing the electrical load on the clipping stage and thus prolonging the sustain of the distortion.

Its definately one of the better overdrive pedals out there. I wouldnt really recommend it for distortion, it doesnt really do distortion and definately not fuzz, but its just perfect for those britt crunchy tones, a clean boost or a loveable overdrive.
It responds well to both single coils and humbuckers, but I mainly use single coils.
It also responds well to your touch, it feels very real and responsive, impressive!
You can also either choose to power it with a 9V or 18V adapter, even that can change the sound too, so yeah, very versatile! Best overdrive imho!

I use it as boost for the OD channel in the LP setting and as an overdrive in the HP setting!
In HP it can easily go from bluesy tones to higher gain GnR-JCM sounds!
Works great stacked with a tucescreamer, and to push an amp that is starting to break-up a bit more! Great tones!
The LP setting is interesting! It can be used as a clean boost or a subtle od with VERY little tone colouration!
The built quality is top notch and it is pretty straight forward and easy to use!
