With the 1959 Gibson ES-175D VOS Vintage Natural, Gibson Memphis pays tribute to the longest continuously produced electric guitar in the program of the traditional American manufacturer. Introduced as early as 1949, the 1959 vintage of this jazz guitar enjoys great popularity, in which the legendary 16.25" jazz box was first equipped with two humbuckers as a double pickup variant ES-175D.

The Florentine cutaway facilitates access to the high positions of the fingerboard.
When designing the Gibson 1959 ES-175D VOS Vintage Natural, Memphis Facility employees used proven ingredients. The 16.25" body is made of three-layer maple/poplar laminate, while the glued neck is made of mahogany and carries a rosewood fingerboard. By dispensing with a sustain block, the 1959 ES-175D develops a sonorous sound with brilliant articulation that forms the perfect basis for classical varieties of jazz. The "Soft C" profile makes even complex chord sequences or solos effortless, while the Florentine cutaway makes access to the high register much easier.
The MHS humbuckers are very close to the legendary PAFs and deliver warm sounds with airy articulation.
For electrical sound conversion, the 1959 ES-175D VOS Vintage Natural is equipped with two Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers. These pickups were manufactured after exact analyses of original PAFs of the golden era and were not waxed exactly like the originals. This gives them an authentic vintage sound that is hard to tell apart from the legendary pickups. With impressively airy warmth they capture the sonorous acoustic timbre of the large body and convince with expressive jazz sounds.

A rosewood bridge is used as a bridge on the Gibson 1959 ES-175D VOS Vintage Natural, which guarantees a clean intonation of the guitar thanks to the compensated string support. Height-adjustable mounted on a foot of the same material, the bridge also contributes significantly to the resonant sound of the large jazz guitar. The strings are held by a Zig-Zag tailpiece that underlines the stylish character of the 1959 ES-175D VOS Vintage Natural with its classic design. At the headstock, the strings are guided via a historically correct nylon saddle to the reliable Reissue Kluson Deluxe tuners, whose wings have"single rings" corresponding to the time.
The Gibson 1959 ES-175D Vintage Natural is delivered well protected in the classic Gibson case, which also contains the certificate of authenticity with serial number.
