Accordingly, the 1961 ES-330 VOS features a 3-ply maple and poplar body with original 'mouse ear' shapings from the 1950s, while the neck has the slender and flat Slim Taper profile of the early 1960s and offers good playability with flat strings. Powerful and vocal sounds are produced by two single Gibson MHS P-90 spools in neck and bridge position, which are adjusted via the tuned Memphis Tone Circuit 550K potentiometers and Black beauty capacitors. Last but not least, the Gibson 1961 ES-330 VOS consists of a solid Hardware ABR -1 Tune-o-Matic with a thinline trapeze Tailpiece and solid Kluson mechanics.
