With the Gibson 1963 ES.335TD VOS Sixties Cherry the guitar builders of the Memphis Division present an authentic reissue of the legendary 63 ES-335.
The Gibson 1963 ES-335TD VOS Sixties Cherry is a classically constructed semi-hollow electric guitar with a three-layer maple/poplar laminate body and a solid maple center block. Like the one-piece mahogany neck, this is glued with bone glue (Hot Hide Glue) to ensure perfect resonance of the entire instrument. With its strong profile, the neck of this electric guitar fits snugly and comfortably in the hand, so that every riff and lick is easy to handle. Historically correct block inlays on the solid rosewood fingerboard provide perfect orientation between the 22 frets.
Thanks to the two MHS humbuckers, the 1963 ES-335TD VOS Sixties Cherry delivers authentic vintage sounds characterized by the striking acoustic timbre of semi-hollow construction. The Memphis Historic Spec (MHS) pickups convince with their airy treble spectrum and vocal mids, which make every played note sing. In addition, the pickups have a particularly natural dynamic range, which immediately translates any fine nuance of play and puts control over the tone shaping into the player's hands. The pickups are managed via the classic circuit with a 3-way toggle switch and individual volume and tone controls.
