The one-piece mahogany neck of the Gibson ES-335 Slim Neck is particularly comfortable to hold thanks to the slim slim slim taper profile and makes it much easier to grasp complex chords or fast licks. In addition, the Gibson ES-335 Slim Neck delivers the legendary warm acoustic timbre that makes this model the ideal companion for blues and rock. This is achieved by using a 3-layer maple/poplar laminate for back, top and sides in conjunction with the solid maple centre block.

The Gibson ES-335 Slim Neck uses a Burstbucker 1 at the neck and a Burstbucker 2 at the bridge. With their transparent dynamics, these humbuckers capture the resonant timbre of the semi-hollow with natural ease and transmit it to the amplifier with vocal mids and an airy high frequency spectrum. In both the clean and overdrive channels, different sound nuances can be called up with the aid of the classic ES circuitry.
