The Gibson ES-339 Satin CH Electric Guitar Cherry Custom Shop is a compact take on the style and design of the classic ES-335, complimented by an incredibly stylish satin cherry finish.

New appointments for 2016 include a change within the neck pickup capacitor offering a touch more high end and sparkle while the truss rod and neck have been adjusted slightly offering more strength useful for those on the move.

The Gibson ES-339 Satin 2016 features the same hollow three-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body design as its bigger sister, just with reduced, more compact dimensions. This makes the ES-339 a much more manageable guitar to play, both standing and sitting, without sacrificing any of the tone that made the body style famous. The body is joined by a one-piece Mahogany neck that has been carved into a comfortable traditional “C” profile and is topped with a 22-fret solid Rosewood fingerboard with Pearloid Black inlays.

The body of the ES-339 Satin 6-String Semi Acoustic Guitar is fitted with a pair of Gibson’s own BurstBucker pickups – a BurstBucker 1 at the neck and a BurstBucker 2 in the neck position. This pairing are joined by master volume and tone controls for each pickup and a simple three-way pickup selector switch, a setup that easily provides plenty of classic humbucker tones that cover a wide range of different genres.

In terms of hardware, the Gibson ES-339 satin is completed by a set of die-cast Milk Bottle Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Tone Pro ABR-1 bridge, a new design locking stop-bar tailpiece and a five-ply black/white/black pickguard.
