The Walnut Maestro Gibson ES-355 VOS Varitone Antique Walnut is the flagship among the electric Semi-Hollow guitars of the Gibson Memphis Facility and convinces with its traditional construction, versatile sounds and noble Custom appointments. The body is made of the traditional maple laminate and fitted with a centre block, while the neck is made of mahogany and carries a Palisander fingerboard. Two Gibson MHS Humbucker in conjunction with the MTC circuitry of the VariTone switch provide multi-faceted Vintage sounds between Blues, Rock and Fusion. Last but not least, the Gibson ES-355 Walnut Maestro has the eponymous Maestro Vintage Vibrato , an Tune -O-Matic bridge and Kluson Waffle Back Tuner .
For the construction of the Gibson ES-355 Walnut Maestro, the Gibson Memphis facility uses traditional construction methods. Accordingly, the body is made of three-layer maple-poplar laminate, with the centre block made of maple preventing undesirable feedback. The glued mahogany neck lies comfortably in the hand thanks to the " Rounded C" profile, so that on the Palisander fingerboard with Block inlays every note goes out of the hand as if by itself.
The sound conversion of the Gibson ES-355 Maestro is done by two Gibson MHS Humbucker , which as authentic PAF replicas skillfully capture the sound of the semi-acoustic construction and deliver a warm Vintage sound at the amplifier. The six-step VariTone switch, which fades out frequency ranges defined as notch Filter ranges, ensures a high degree of variability in the sound image. In addition, the hand-wired "Memphis Tone Control" (MTC) circuit is available with Orange drop capacitors and individual volume and tone controls.
Last but not least it Gibson ES-355 Walnut Maestro 2018 VOS is equipped with high quality Hardware in authentic Vintage style. The Maestro- Vibrato , which gives the instrument its name, serves as a tailpiece and can be used to create dazzling pitch modulations. From here the strings are led over the proven ABR -1 Tune -O-Matic bridge and countered at the headstock by precise Kluson Waffle Back tuners.
