Thanks to its semi-hollow construction and the Burstbucker pickups, the Gibson Midtown Standard 2015 covers a broad sound spectrum ranging from Jazz to modern hard rock. The famous slim taper profile provides comfortable and easy playability.
Gibson Midtown Standard PB Pelham BlueI have Ebony Midtown Custom and it is PERFECT guitar. This Standard Pelham Blue has imperfect fretboard (with some ''knife-alike' marks mid-neck), the jack connection is not reliable (it cuts-off occasionally), and automatic tuning is a joke for a serious musician (it is tricky to correct tuning on the fly). I wanted to send her back, yet they will not pay for the return shipment. The guitar sound is versatile as burstbuckers are great pups. In summary, do request store to send you a fully verified guitar.
Music store gets 5 stars for suppling this guitar at such a relative affordable price and a no hassle purchase. As for the guitar it plays like a gibson smooth and comfortable , with a nice feel confident neck , and flawless finish. Tonally well rounded, clear articulation and punchy . Though some people might not like the idea of the G-force tuners ,i find the benefit and ease of being in tune more often is a real plus in the studio and of course live. At this price you'd be mad not to add a gibson semi hollow guitar to your collection.
Comes with hard case to boot. :-)
