Outfitted with two Godin Custom humbucker pickups, the 5th Avenue delivers powerful vintage sounds reminiscent of the late fifties, enriched by the distinctive acoustic timbre unique to archtop construction. Last but not least, GraphTech hardware ensures long-lasting playing pleasure and the perfect setup across all registers.
Equipped with two custom humbucker pickups, the Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin II is able to cover a wide sound spectrum.
Canadian wild cherry
Acoustically, a resonance body crafted from Canadian cherry wood delivers singing mids and a full, dynamic tone, which is especially effective when playing chords in the middle registers. Thanks to the archtop and arched back, the 5th Avenue also produces a voluminous tone with natural sustain when played unplugged.
Two Godin Custom humbuckers
With its two Godin Custom humbuckers, the 5th Avenue Kingpin II HB offers a wide sound spectrum – from smooth jazz licks to steamy rock tones. These distinctive double-coil pickups deliver a warm, mid-focused sound with clear, articulate trebles at the bridge, while the neck pickup produces a vocal quality that shines for melodic lines and solos, both clean and crunched.
