Accordingly, the resonance body made of laminated maple and two TV Jones pickups provide a full sound with crisp twang in the attack, while the glued maple neck offers excellent playability thanks to its "standard U" profile. The foundation of the Gretsch G6120T-SW Steve Wariner Nashville Gentleman is the traditional hollow-body construction using a laminated maple body, stabilised by the 1959 Trestle Bracing, which supports a full sound with quick attack. The glued maple neck with its not too strong "standard U" profile fits comfortably in the hand, making finger picking on the ebony fretboard a breeze.

Two Filter'Tron-style humbuckers from TV Jones skilfully capture the sonorous timbre of this hollow-body guitar and carry it to the amplifier with crisp twang. Thanks to the unique combination of screw and blade pole pieces, the TV Jones Paul Yandell Duo-Tron humbucker, which is installed in neck position, impresses with a balanced finger picking sound, while the TV Jones Classic Plus, which is placed at the bridge, puts the crisp twang in the foreground. In addition, the coil-split option provides additional tonal colours.
