The Gretsch G6136T Falcon Roundup Relic Aged Vintage Orange Hollowbody electric guitar combines the incredible craftsmanship of the experienced luthiers from the Gretsch USA Custom Shop. Finest tonewoods in traditional construction, high quality premium hardware and electronics from Grover, TV Jones and Bigsby and lovely optical details in tortoiseshell and mother-of-pearl form this unique electric guitar. These features help the Falcon skilfully create the connection between classic vintage sounds and modern playability, making the Gretsch G6136T Falcon Roundup Relic Aged Vintage Orange ideal for use in every situation, whether in the living room, studio or on stage. Of course, the G6136T Falcon Roundup comes in a neat Custom Shop style with an impressively decorated Gretsch hardshell case and signed certificate of authenticity.
The Gretsch Custom Shop provides the G6136T Falcon Roundup with a uniquely mastered 'Knotty Pine' top in a dark vintage orange finish. The two-piece top is made of pine and the maple hollowbody is bound with an impressively engraved leather strap and supported by an authentic '59 trestle bracing. The classic bracing construction connects the top and the back of the instrument via two large spruce struts and ensures ideal balance between stiffness and vibration. The result is long-lasting sustain while reducing the risk of feedback on the amplifier.
The Gretsch G6136T Falcon Roundup Relic uses TV Jones T-Armond single-coils, which are probably the best reproduction of the legendary DeArmond 2000 pickups. These single coils in the design of the 1940s with large cylindrical magnets produce authentic vintage sounds with crystal-clear highs and controlled mid-range and, when played with a little more gain, prove their raw and irrepressible attitude with classic twang. Thanks to the Treble Bleed circuit on the Master Volume and an additional no-load tone control, the unmistakable character of both pickups is completely preserved even on lower volume settings and with the treble control open.
As a genuine representative of the Gretsch USA Custom Shop, the Gretsch G6136T Falcon Roundup is equipped with the very best in premium features. These include a Tru-Arc brass bridge with ebony base, an authentic Bigsby USA B-6 vibrato with wide 'paddle' handle and six Grover Imperial tuners with backlocking function for stable tunings. All parts are finished in a noble gold finish with authentic ageing. The Falcon has also been given a lot of attention to optical details. Multiple inlays of tortoise-shell imitation and a multi-layer black/aged white binding adorn the body and fretboard of the Falcon, whereas additional inlays of mother-of-pearl grace the two TV Jones T-Armond pickups.
