The Gretsch Professional Collection Tennessean Hollow Body Bigsby Deep Cherry Stain is an absolute highlight for jazz players, blues players and fans of expressive hollow-body sounds. The instrument is manufactured in Japan in the classic semi-resonant style and is not only sonically but also visually reminiscent of the classic 'jazz boxes' of the last century. Typical for Gretsch Japan, naturally only premium components are used in the form of the company's own Filter'Tron-style pickup and hardware parts from renowned manufacturers such as GraphTech or Bigsby - including hardshell case!

Tennessee Rose hollow-body made from maple laminate

Following the traditional Gretsch recipe, this hollow-body is made of maple laminate and contributes the classic Gretsch timbre to the sound. The proven Arc-Tone Bracing provides the ideal balance of unhindered resonance characteristics and simultaneous top stability to optimize the resonance behaviour of the Gretsch Professional Collection Tennessean Hollow Body. The maple neck also remains true to the classic specifications and offers a standard 'U' profile that promises die-hard Gretsch fans the usual playability from headstock to neck heel.

Gretsch PRO-FT Filter'Trons

Played on an amplifier, the two Gretsch PRO-FT Filter'Trons combine the pure acoustic timbre of the Gretsch Professional Collection Tennessean Hollow Body with the unmistakable Vintage-Sound of a Tron-style pickup. The two double coilers effectively suppress ambient noise and offer a wide range of possible sounds. Naturally, the model with a master Volume and two further volume controls offers both separate and joint options for determining the volume of both pickups, while the joint tone control enables smooth Treble roll-offs for warm-sounding jazz leads.

Hardware from GraphTech, Bigsby and Gotoh

In addition to in-house components, the Gretsch Professional Collection Tennessean Hollow Body Bigsby relies on high-quality add-on parts from renowned suppliers. For example, a GraphTech TUSQ nut at the end of the fingerboard ensures resonant sounds and reliable tuning stability, while the Bigsby B6CP Vibrato with string guidance through the axle provides shimmering vibrato sounds in combination with the pinned Gretsch Adjusto-Matic bridge. Last but not least, the Gretsch Professional Collection Tennessean Hollow Body Bigsby is completed by six Gotoh tuners with a practical backlocking function.
