The successful ‘Guitar School, Volume 1: School for Young Guitarists’ contains over 100 songs and pieces, introducing children – from around the age of 7 – to playing the guitar. The guitar method was designed by Hans Joachim Teschner primarily for group lessons, but it is equally suitable for one-to-one tuition. Melodic playing, accompaniment with bass notes, two-part solo playing and, of course, song accompaniment using chord symbols are taught in small, gradual steps. Children’s songs, humorous songs and folk music from Germany and around the world replace monotonous exercises.
The updated edition features the familiar illustrations, many tried-and-tested songs and a few new ones.
Most of the songs and pieces (playing time approx. 80 minutes) are available to download. The two-part songs are first played through in their complete version; the second time round, one of the two guitar parts is omitted.
