With the Ibanez AEWC400-TKS Transparent Black Sunburst, the traditional manufacturer presents an innovative acoustic guitar. Instruments of the AEW series were developed after the model of electric guitars and are characterized by their slim design and comfortable handling. And the guitar is also equipped with a pickup system to be able to perform on stage.

Construction and sound

Thanks to the curly maple body and top, the AEWC400-TKS produces an assertive sound with clear basses, multi-faceted mids, and crisp highs. A walnut fingerboard provides a balanced tone, while the die-cast tuners reliably keep the tuning. These features add up to an ideal singer-songwriter guitar whose sound and performance will delight.

Playability

AEW series guitars stand out especially for their ergonomic design. Thus, this model also has cutouts and an armrest that ideally adapt to the upper body. The asymmetrical Nyatoh neck is also extremely comfortable in the hand and, with a nut width of 43 mm, meets the necessary requirements for flatpicking and strumming. The shortened 634 mm scale length additionally facilitates gripping, which is especially advantageous for still inexperienced fingers. Meanwhile, a cutaway ensures free access to the high registers.

Electronics

For amplified playing, the instrument is equipped with the in-house AEQ-SP2 pickup system. In addition to the volume, the bass and treble can also be adjusted to suit individual preferences and ambient conditions. At the same time, an integrated tuner guarantees a performance that is always sure of its tone.
