Solid red cedar top

At the heart of its sound is the solid red cedar top. This North American tonewood offers a rich overtone spectrum with a warm character that opens up fully after only a short playing time. The back and sides made of khaya, also known as African mahogany, provide a balanced midrange that complements the cedar beautifully. The result is an instrument equally suited to delicate fingerstyle playing and dynamic strumming, making it a flexible choice for many musical styles. Whether for solo performances or as accompaniment to vocals, this guitar impresses in every setting and delivers musical enjoyment at a high level.

In-house pickup for maximum control

Fitted with the company’s own Astro Lag pickup system, the instrument ensures a truly professional sound when amplified. The discreetly integrated preamp provides versatile tone shaping with volume control and three tone controls for bass, mids and treble, allowing precise sound adjustments in the studio or on stage. This setup makes it easy to adapt the sound to different room acoustics and personal preferences. An integrated tuner completes the equipment and enables convenient, accurate tuning directly on the instrument for reliable intonation in any playing situation.

Ideal for demanding flatpickers

With its slim khaya neck, comfortable 43 mm nut width, cutaway and aesthetic beveled armrest for unobstructed access to higher frets, the guitar offers optimal conditions for precise and fast flatpicking. The fretting hand benefits from the smooth feel of the Brown Brankowood fingerboard, which provides exceptional playing comfort. This innovative material is created through a special process that tropicalizes fast growing pine species, supporting environmentally conscious production. Developed by Australian researcher Branko Hermescec, Brown Brankowood combines the sound and feel of high grade classic tonewoods such as ebony and rosewood without any compromise in sound quality.
