With the Ibanez RG550-WHF White Flat from the Genesis Collection, Ibanez returns to the roots of the RG from 1987. Faithful recreations of the original body shapes and hardware authentically replicate the Japanese guitar maker’s famous ‘Super Strats’ from the late 1980s, delivering the unmistakable look and sound of this classic model, which remains popular to this day. Providing the technical foundation for polished, light-speed shredding is an ultra-slim ‘Super Wizard’ neck in maple and walnut , whilst the combination of V7/V8 humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions, plus an additional S1 single-coil in the middle, delivers a versatile tonal spectrum with plenty of punch. Of course, no genuine RG550 would be complete without the Ibanez Edge tremolo system with locking saddle , which was a brand-new feature at the time!
