The Ibanez John Scofield JSM20TH-BK Black seals 20 years of successful collaboration between famed Japanese luthier and jazz veteran John Scofield. The Japanese-made signature instrument of the exceptional guitarist, who earned his spurs in the jazz scene by playing for greats like Herbie Hancock, Charles Mingus or Miles Davis, relies on characterful semi-hollow sounds, two humbucker pickups wound especially for John and high-quality Gotoh hardware.
The strictly limited Ibanez JSM20TH-BK Black celebrates the 20-year collaboration between jazz legend John Scofield and the Japanese company.
The slim mahogany neck and the semi-resonant body of the JSM20TH are glued together.

The basic construction of the JSM20TH is formed by an all-maple body in a semi-resonant design, which creates a warm and full acoustic character with an arched top and back and additional F-holes. In addition, a solid center block is installed under the bridge, allowing the guitar to handle higher gain settings with ease. The mahogany neck, which is firmly glued to the body, naturally presents the JSM profile tailored to John's needs and grants absolute control over every layer with its usual slim dimensions. As a modernized feature, a compound radius (184 mm to 254 mm) rising from 7.25" to 10" comes into play on the ebony fingerboard, creating ideal conditions for complex Chords and unhindered lead improvisation.

To match the characterful sound on the amp and perfectly complement the acoustic timbre of the body, Ibanez gives the JSM20TH two pickups specially wound for John. The JSM Special Neck Humbucker stands for deep and vocal sounds, while the JSM Special Bridge impresses with a clear and transparent sound and knows how to produce a little more steam when needed. For full control over the tone, the Ibanez JSM20TH also holds a classic 3-way circuit with dedicated volume and tone controls for each humbucker.

All hardware parts of the JSM20TH-BK John Scofield come of course in noble gold finish.
