The Ibanez K7 Signature is a 7-string electric guitar that was developed together with Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer and stands for a concentrated load of nu-metal! The slim Wizard II-7 neck made of five-striped maple/walnut ensures extremely comfortable playability, while the ebony fingerboard with K-7 Special Inlay on the 12th fret provides a beautiful signature detail. The flat fingerboard radius of 15.75" also allows comfortable handling for precise riffs in all registers. In terms of sound, the K7 relies on two DiMarzio Blaze humbuckers, which cover both transparent clean sounds and aggressive high-gain riffs with their slightly scooped midrange. The setup is complemented by a high-quality Lo-Pro Edge tremolo for maximum control and playability as well as precise Gotoh tuners for reliable tuning stability. In combination with the characteristic 7-string tuning, the K7 opens up an enormous sound spectrum for all those who move in the grain circle of nu-metal!
