While the body made of lime wood impresses with its ergonomic shape and excellent balance both on the strap and on the thigh, the "Super All Access Neck Joint" allows unhindered access to the highest positions. The perfectly proportioned "AZ Oval C" profile of the bolt-on roasted maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, so that every solo and riff can be performed with ease between the 24 stainless steel frets. In addition, the chic Hawaiian koa wood top makes the electric guitar an absolute eye-catcher on any stage.
Flexible sound thanks to DiMarzio pickups in HSH setup
Ibanez chose three DiMarzio pickups in the flexible HSH setup as the pickup for the AZ47P2K electric guitar, which skillfully covers all timbres between fusion, rock and metal. While the DiMarzio The Tone Zone High-Output humbucker on the bridge makes the guitar amp sweat and elicits first-class distortion sounds with accurate representation of every note, the DiMarzio Air Norton on the neck convinces with a warm, yet transparent sound that is equally suitable for sparkling cleans and singing Overdrive. In the middle position, a DiMarzio True Velvet single coil also contributes classic bell-like sounds. The electric guitar's pickups are controlled via a 5-way circuit with general volume and tone controls.
