An ash body is used here, the grain of which is perfectly accentuated by the elaborate Finish, while the five-piece neck made of maple and wenge with the flat and wide "Wizard 8" profile has optimum playing characteristics. Furthermore, DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers provide the appropriate output for the low tuning, with a tight response, tight basses and focused mids that display enormous assertiveness. On the hardware side, the Ibanez RG5328 also relies on the Gibraltar Standard II-8 bridge and Gotoh MG-T clamp tuners.
