Its classic bolt-on construction incorporates a 26.5-inch scale length that maintains tight string tension and crisp attack even when tuned down. The contoured basswood body rests comfortably and remains well balanced, while deep cutaways and the rounded All Access Neck Joint allow effortless reach to the highest frets. The slim “Wizard HP” profile supports the most advanced playing techniques on the 24-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard, where fluorescent side dots ensure clear position marking even on dark stages.

Ibanez outfits the RGD3121 with a set of Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic pickups, now regarded as modern classics. Each pickup offers two distinct voicings selectable via a mini-switch. Voicing 1 delivers a contemporary active sound with assertive highs and tight midrange growl for aggressive metal tones. Voicing 2 provides the more organic character of a passive pickup with dynamic response and fluid musicality. Alongside a three-way blade selector, master volume and tone controls give complete command over the instrument’s sound.
Gotoh locking tuners keep the Prestige RGD3121 securely in the correct tuning and make changing strings a breeze.
Mono rails and Locking tuner
To ensure top-level reliability, the Prestige RGD3121-PRF Polar Light Flat is equipped with six Ibanez Mono-Rail bridges that anchor each string independently, ensuring maximum resonance, precise intonation and comfortable action even with heavy-gauge strings and extreme tunings. A GraphTech Black TUSQ XL nut guides the strings smoothly to Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, which provide exceptional tuning stability and make string changes quick and easy.
