The Ibanez TOD100N-NT impresses with an expressive tone that is perfectly tailored to Tim Henson’s virtuoso playing style. The solid Sitka spruce top gives the tone a quick response, a pronounced overtone spectrum and precise articulation, whilst the solid okoumé back and sides provide warm mids, balanced sustain and a pleasant fullness. This tonal concept is complemented by the sound port integrated into the side, which offers the player a particularly direct and spacious listening experience. The result is an exceptionally defined, dynamic sound that impressively showcases both delicate fingerstyle playing and modern percussive techniques.

Slim design

Furthermore, the guitar has been consistently designed for maximum playing comfort and feels instantly familiar, particularly to electric guitarists. The extra-slim FRH body sits comfortably close to the body, ensuring a relaxed playing experience even during longer sessions. With a nut width of just 46 mm, the fingerboard is significantly narrower than on conventional classical guitars, facilitating quick chord changes and demanding solo passages. The comfortable C-shaped neck profile supports a natural hand position and ensures a smooth playing experience in every position. The ergonomic design is rounded off by the generous cutaway, which allows effortless access to the higher frets.

Fishman Aura TOD100N Custom Tim Henson System

For a particularly authentic stage sound, the Ibanez TOD100N-NT is equipped with a sophisticated Fishman Aura TOD100N Custom System. This combines a Fishman Acoustic Matrix undersaddle pickup with a Fishman bridge-mounted body pickup, capturing both the direct response of the strings and the natural resonances of the body in great detail. The result is an exceptionally lively, transparent and dynamic acoustic sound with high resistance to feedback. The system is controlled via the tried-and-tested Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp, which offers precise tone control as well as a built-in tuner for quick and convenient retuning at any time.

Custom Design

Visually, the model emphasises its modern signature character with an extraordinary combination of elegant and striking design elements. The natural satin finish lends the guitar a classic look and impressively showcases the attractive grain of the woods. High-quality rosewood binding stylishly rounds off the contours and emphasises the exclusive craftsmanship. The unmistakable eye-catcher is the Tree of Death inlay on the fingerboard, inspired by Tim Henson, which gives the instrument a distinctive look and perfectly reflects the unique style of the Polyphia guitarist.
