American Series SL2 DX: Classic Soloist construction
The hallmark of the Jackson Soloist is its Speed Neck design, which extends from the 6-in-line headstock to the rear strap button. In the American Series Soloist SL2 DX, this neck is built from three pieces of maple with a glued-on ebony fingerboard. Featuring 24 jumbo stainless steel frets and a compound radius that flattens from 12" to 16", the fingerboard ensures optimal playability across all positions. Two alder body wings and a sleek satin black finish complete the construction.
Seymour Duncan '59 & JB
The pairing of a Seymour Duncan SH-1 ’59 humbucker in the neck position and a TB-4 JB Trembucker at the bridge has long been favored by hard rock and metal players. The JB delivers powerful output with defined articulation, while the SH-1n ’59 provides rich character, warm cleans, and singing sustain for lead passages. Both US-made pickups are wired to a 5-way selector switch with shared volume and tone controls, offering versatile tonal options.
