The Lakewood A-31 CP Natural is a high-quality acoustic guitar from the Natural series by the long-established German manufacturer. Thanks to its all-solid construction and the use of carefully selected tonewoods, it impresses with a balanced, expressive tone. The popular Auditorium body shape, combined with its well-thought-out design features, ensures a comfortable playing experience and excellent playability. For professional stage use, the instrument is fitted with an L. R. Baggs pickup system, which reproduces the guitar’s natural sound authentically and dynamically even when amplified. Visually, the elegant natural finish, with its untreated details, emphasises the series’ characteristic style. The package also includes a custom-fit gig bag, which ensures comfortable transport.

With its solid-wood body, ergonomic design and pickup, the Lakewood is a professional all-round package.

All-solid Auditorium acoustic guitar

The Lakewood A-31 CP Natural relies on a high-quality combination of solid tonewoods for its characteristic sound. The European spruce top ensures a direct response, brilliant trebles and high tonal resolution, whilst the East Indian rosewood back and sides lend the tone warmth, depth and powerful mid-range. The harmonious interplay of these tried-and-tested woods produces a balanced tonal character with great dynamic range. This makes the acoustic guitar equally suited to delicate fingerstyle playing, demanding solo passages and expressive vocal accompaniment.

L.R. Baggs Anthem

With the integrated L.R. Baggs Anthem, the guitar is perfectly equipped for amplified performance. The innovative pickup system combines a high-quality under-saddle piezo with a specially developed Tru-Mic microphone, thereby delivering an exceptionally natural guitar sound. The result is an authentic sound reproduction with high transparency, precise response and impressive attention to detail. The controls , discreetly positioned in the soundhole, allow you to conveniently adjust the volume and the blend ratio of the two signal sources. This enables the sound to be flexibly tailored to different playing situations.

Playability and Design

The compact Auditorium body shape impresses with its well-thought-out ergonomics and offers a high level of playing comfort. The Cedro neck, with its comfortably shaped C-profile, allows for a relaxed hand position and particularly supports precise fingerstyle playing. The high-quality ebony fingerboard ensures smooth position changes, whilst the generously proportioned cutaway offers effortless access to the higher frets. Visually, the open-pore natural finish impressively highlights the natural grain of the woods used and lends the instrument a timeless appeal. Lovingly crafted details such as the rosette with a wooden core and decorative shavings, elegant mahogany bindings and rosewood tuning pegs harmoniously round off the instrument’s appearance.
