The all-purpose stool is made of robust steel. The seat of the stool can be adjusted in both height and inclination so that you can always play music in a relaxed manner, even when using it for long periods of time. The ergonomically shaped seat with imitation leather cover is sufficiently large. The height-adjustable footrest provides additional relief.
MUSIC STORE Stehhilfe GS-A AllzweckhockerI bought this as a 'perch' for keyboard playing, having developed a hernia from loading heavy gear and standing for long periods (yes, I'm at that age now). I looked at a few cheaper ones but the build quality and features weren't quite up to it. I am yet to use this in anger but, after assembly, I'm very happy with my purchase.
The build quality and stability are very good, and I particularly wanted one that would a) be high enough for a more standing/perching position and b) have a seat tilt function to facilitate the optimum position. It means I can also sit back fully on it for a rest if needed, or adopt the perch position and free both feet to use multiple pedals comfortably.
It is all nicely stitched and welded. The only downside is that the seat feels quite hard and may result in a numb bum over long periods. But we'll see. At least it looks built to last and will be a versatile stool for around the studio and on gigs.
