Make Noise PoliMATHS and QXG
Quad LGP with downstream Stereo mixer
The Quad StereoGate (QXG) from Make Noise is a 4-channel Stereo Low Pass Gate with summing. Like the DXG before it, the QXG also uses a new LPG circuit without vactrols. This circuit is completely analogue and has been meticulously tuned to meet and exceed the expectations of a classic LPG circuit. The response time of the LPGs can be switched between fast and slow using the vactrol switch. The fast response time can be particularly useful when patching the QXG with complex and rapidly changing functions, such as those generated by PoliMATHS in oscillator mode. The four channels have an identical structure and each has an audio input and output as well as a CV input. As soon as a cable is plugged into the individual output, the corresponding channel is removed from the mix output. The QXG is equipped with a stereo sum output with voltage controllable stereo spread, which quickly distributes all channels across the stereo field. The aux input is handy for connecting multiple QXG modules together and creating larger mixes. The QXG can be normalised to either PoliMaths or MultiMod via 5-pin connectors on the back of the modules. For example, connecting two QXGs to a PoliMaths will give you 8-channel amplitude control!
