Malekko's Manther Growl is a fully featured Synthvoice module with CEM-3340 oscillator and SSM2044 filter. On a compact 26 TE unit there are two ADSR envelopes for VCA and filter, an extensive oscillator with three waveforms that can be adjusted and modulated in parallel, controls for the charismatic filter, the LFO with five different waves, external input and 19 sockets for inputs and outputs.
Classics meeting
One of the special features of the Manther Growl is the VCO, which is based on a CEM3340 chip that has already been used in classics such as Jupiter 6, Prophet 5, SH-101, and MC-202. Also worth mentioning is that all waveforms can be modulated, especially the triangle produces very metallic sounds depending on the intensity. The second special feature in this module is the 24dB lowpass filter, which is based on the SSM2044 chip. The round sound is known from classics like PPG Wave 2.2, Korg Polysix, EMUlator 1 and the still current Doepfer A-105.
