Featuring a swamp ash body with a striking flame maple top and a bolt-on maple neck in a comfortable “C” profile, this bass delivers a professional-level experience. Two Mayones Velvetrone Gallant single-coil pickups paired with the active Mayones Musashi Nitōryū preamp provide a wide tonal palette, from clean, defined sounds to traditional passive tones. Only carefully selected, high-quality woods are used in the construction of the Jabba Custom 5 Flame Maple Infinity Blue, ensuring lively sound and clear string definition. The swamp ash body is topped with beautifully figured flame maple, while the six-piece bolt-on maple neck features a maple fingerboard. The comfortable “C” neck profile and flat 20-inch fingerboard radius (508 mm) allow for agile, effortless playing, making every groove precise and natural.
Two Mayones Velvetrone single coils in combination with the active Mayones 3-band tone control promise a particularly versatile sound spectrum.
Aguilar pickups and active 3-band tone control
The bass is equipped with two Mayones Velvetrone single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets and specially tuned coils. They produce a bright, highly articulate tone while integrating the low B string seamlessly. The active Mayones Musashi Nitōryū preamp provides bass, mid, and treble controls with a double potentiometer, allowing extensive tonal shaping. A mini-switch lets you switch the EQ to passive mode, with a separate treble control for classic passive tones.
Five lightweight Hipshot Ultralite tuners not only counteract top-heaviness, but also guarantee stable and precise tuning.
Indestructible hardware equipment
Robust hardware ensures the Jabba Custom 5 performs under any condition. The Mayones Big Foot bridge supports sustain and even string output, with individually adjustable saddles for perfect intonation and string height. The strings run over a 34.25-inch scale length (870 mm) to five lightweight Hipshot Ultralite tuners, which ensure precise tuning and reduce headstock weight. Schaller S-Locks secure the bass to a strap, making it a reliable instrument for both stage and studio.
