Multiscale Bass
The contemporary Multiscale construction of the Viking VF provides each string with its optimal vibration length, so that the bass offers a particularly balanced and even sound from the highest to the lowest note. While the full-length wenge maple neck features a flat D-profile for agile playing characteristics on the ebony fingerboard, the ash top set off with a wenge veneer on the swampashbody provides the dignified look.

For the pickups on the Viking V-Fret, Mayones chooses two Aguilar DCB humbuckers. Equipped with double ceramic blade magnets, the humbuckers deliver a full and balanced sound that captures every nuance of the bass playing in detail and also integrates the low B-string into the sound with precision. For precise adjustment of the sound in lows, mids and highs, an active Aguilar 3-band tone control is also on board. The mini-switch also switches the five-string into passive mode, where a separate treble cutoff is available.
Fine running Schaller BM machine heads guarantee an exact and stable tuning of the Mayones Viking.
