The Meinl PROADJ5-L African Style Djembe Large stands for authentic craftsmanship and a balanced, powerful sound. Each djembe is carved from a single trunk of sustainably grown mahogany wood and then covered with a carefully selected goatskin. This construction method ensures deep, full basses and clear, precise slaps. The traditional Mali Weave string tensioning system with pre-tensioned HTP nylon cord is used for tuning. This means that the djembe can be tuned stably and retains its sound balance even when played intensively. With its medium size, it offers a comfortable playing feel and is equally suitable for ensemble playing, workshops, stage and studio.
