The Moog Subsequent 37 Analogue Synthesizer
Analog synthesizer
The Moog Subsequent 37 Analogue Synthesizer is a 2-note paraphonic analogue synthesizer featuring a 37-note semi-weighted keyboard with after pressure, 256 presets and an ultra-powerful arpeggiator/sequencer. The Subsequent 37 builds on the design of the ultra-powerful Sub 37 Tribute with a control panel home to 40 knobs and 74 switches, thereby offering a vast compilation of analogue sound-design tools and onboard sequencing options at the user's command. The Subsequent 37 features a number of user-requested sonic and functional enhancements, each of which maintains the character of its predecessor whilst also providing access to new sound dimensions and improved playability.
The Subsequent 37 mixer section provides access to a new range of classic clean tones in both mono and duo performance modes. Gain-staging in the Ladder filter has been reshaped to boost harmonic saturation and analogue compression, resulting in an overall richer low end. A re-tuned Multidrive circuit that extends well beyond the grit and growl of the original Sub 37 completes the sonic development of this synthesizer. Each Subsequent 37 comes with an upgraded keyboard for improved playability, a high-powered headphone amplifier and a software plugin/editor for both Windows and Mac platforms.

Prise this synth from my dead hands. It's a keeper. I never intended to get a Subsequent. I ordered a Sirin for about half the price of the Sub. After several months of waiting for it to come in stock, I ditched the potential Sirin in favour of a Subsequent. It's a modern classic. Compact, functionally comprehensive. BIG sound. Remarkably flexible. Excellent DAW compatibility. I literally want to design sounds on it every time I spot it out of the corner of my eye. I can't imagine being able to justify getting another monophonic with this bad boy sitting in my studio.

I'll admit, I thought this couldn't get any better when I bought the thing. But ever since I received it Ive been constantly working with it and playing around, it's definitely a complicated machine to Learn and to master, but if you are a professional or even a bigenner, this is a great start, you get a lot of synth for the price. Build quality is great and really luxury, feels like a new rolls royce. Soo ill definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to boost their basses and leads and get really experimental with synthesis.
