With the Music Man Cutlass RS MN Charging Green, the Californian company introduces a versatile electric guitar whose convincing concept combines classic vintage appointments with modern convenience in terms of playing comfort and sound design. Based on a Music Man design from the 70s, the Cutlass features a sweepingly styled alder body and a five-piece bolt-on roasted maple neck with a pleasing wax-oil finish.Three Music Man Custom single-coils with typical 5-way switching provide a diverse sound spectrum at the guitar amplifier for sparkling cleans and crisp leads, which sound particularly transparent and noise-free due to the innovative Silent Circuit. A Music Man Modern tremolo and Schaller M6-IND locking tuners complete the Cutlass RS RW Charging Green from Music Man.
For the design of the Cutlass RS, Music Man relies on a traditional design with high-quality woods, which promises a resonantly pleasing sound and optimal playing conditions. Accordingly, the electric guitar conceals an alder body under the deep metallic green, while figured maple with a particularly intensive grain is used for the five-point bolt-on neck. The sculpted neck joint and the silky oil-wax neck finish guarantee a comfortable playing experience up to the highest registers.
The pickups chosen by the Luthiers from San Luis Obispo for the Music Man Cutlass RS RW Charging Green are three Music Man Custom single-coil pickups, which are managed via a traditional 5-way switch. At the guitar amplifier, the electric guitar delivers a broad palette of high-quality sounds with a distinct vintage character, which can be used for sparkling cleans with the desired snap as well as for juicy overdrive for lively riffs and singing solos. Another sonic highlight is the Music Man silent circuit, which guarantees a transparent sound without the noise usually associated with single coils.
Last but not least, the Cutlass RS RW Charging Green from Music Man is rounded off by a resilient hardware set-up with modern functionality and classic style. For the bridge, the Music Man Modern Tremolo is installed on two bolts. Its large chevron cover provides a comfortable surface for resting the hand, while saddle made of bent sheet steel supports the traditional sound character. For optimal intonation, the strings are first guided over a compensated nut on the headstock before they are secured by the precise and tuning-stable Schaller M6-IND locking tuners.
