Precise Bass down to 16 Hz
The Neumann KH 870 II is a DSP-controlled reference subwoofer that offers exceptionally deep and detailed bass reproduction down to 16 Hz. With its bass reflex designwith front openings, it ensures precise and powerful bass reproduction - ideal for music production, film sound, broadcasting and post-production. Thanks to a maximum sound pressure level of 115 dB SPL, it is ideally suited for larger studios.
Next Generation Performance
Compared to its predecessor, the KH 870 II offers significantly improved acoustic performance. Two newly developed 10-inch long-throw woofers with Extremely Linear Force Factor™ (ELFF™) technology minimize distortion even at the highest levels. The robust metal grille reliably protects the drivers, while the resonance-optimized housing with highly efficient bass reflex system guarantees a clean output without port noise.
Flexible bass management for stereo, surround and immersive audio
Thanks to its multichannel bass manager, the KH 870 II can be flexibly integrated into stereo, surround and immersive setups up to 7.1.4. With analog XLR inputs and outputs, SUB-D-25 connectors (up to 12 analog inputs and 11 outputs, Tascam standard) and digital AES3 BNC interfaces, a wide range of connection options are available. A total of up to 11 monitors can be integrated. The KH 870 II AES67 variant is also available for network environments.
DSP control and room correction
The DSP architecture enables precise control and seamless integration via the separately available MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment software. This allows not only the frequency response, but also the Phase to be perfectly adapted to the room. Analog Neumann monitors such as the KH 310 or KH 420 can also be integrated via the MA 1 Multichannel Extension - a great advantage for hybrid setups. For quick adjustment, the subwoofer also offers two independent control modes: locally on the device or via the network.
Sophisticated protection and energy management
The integrated protection circuit includes soft clip, peak, thermal and excursion limiters as well as temperature monitoringof the power amplifiers. This ensures maximum operational safety even under full load. The universal power supply (100-240 V) enables worldwide use. Thanks to the auto-standby function, which can be deactivated in the MA 1 app if required, the KH 870 II also scores points for energy efficiency.
