Newfangled Audio Punctuate - Intelligent Transient Shaper for powerful mixes
With Punctuate, you get a tool that does not bend transients across the entire signal, but intervenes where Attack actually occurs. The plug-in transient shaper works in 26 frequency-dependent bands, which are based on the critical hearing bands of humans. This allows you to shape punch, presence and sustain in a targeted manner - without unnecessarily dragging down the highs, mids and basses. Perfect for mixing and mastering when drums need more "snap", guitars need to move forward or an entire Mix needs to breathe again.
Shaping transients the way your ear hears
Classic transient shapers react to the overall signal. However, if only the snare crack in the upper mid-band is too sharp, the bass foundation and spatial component often suffer as well. Punctuate solves this problem with a hearing-based multi-band approach: every intervention remains musical because the processing emulates the mel scale and therefore human perception. The result: more control, fewer artifacts, more natural dynamics.
More punch, less stress in the mix
Whether it's boosting the kick attack, pulling hi-hats out of the snare mic or reviving over-compressed hums - Punctuate does exactly that quickly and comprehensibly. You can emphasize or reduce transients in individual bands and thus change the character of a signal without destroying the tonality. This is a real advantage, especially for modern productions with dense arrangements.
Typical areas of application
Makingdrums in the complete Mix louder or softer
Increase snarecrack without inflating the low-end thump
Boostingthekickpunch without affecting the Bass
