The OBSBOT Tail Air is a compact 4K PTZ streaming camera for live streams, content creation, interviews, live music, church services, esports and multi-camera productions. It combines UHD 4K resolution, intelligent AI tracking, flexible connectivity options and smart control in a mobile camera system.
With 4K@30FPS and 1080P@60FPS, the Tail Air delivers detailed images for streams, recordings and online formats. Thanks to its PTZ function, the camera can be panned, tilted and precisely aligned without the need for someone to be standing behind the camera at all times.
The OBSBOT Tail Air’s AI tracking automatically follows people, animals and objects. With Human Tracking, a person remains clearly in frame, even when moving freely. This is ideal for presentations, vlogs, lessons, live music and workshops.
Animal Tracking allows you to showcase cats, dogs and horses more effectively. Object Tracking opens up additional possibilities for product demos, tutorials, creative set-ups and live streams where a specific subject needs to remain in focus.
The OBSBOT Tail Air records in UHD 4K@30FPS, offering significantly more detail than traditional HD cameras. 1080P@60FPS is also available for smooth motion.
Thanks to an increased 2 μm pixel size, the camera captures more light and delivers a clear image with less noise, even in challenging lighting conditions. This is particularly useful for stages, churches, studios, gaming rooms and evening set-ups.
The integrated TOF technology precisely measures the distance to the subject and supports fast, reliable autofocus. This ensures the image remains crisp and in focus even with movement or changing light conditions.
This is a major advantage, particularly for live streams. Speakers, musicians, products or animals remain in focus without the need for constant manual readjustment.
With Gesture Control 2.0, you can control key functions using hand gestures. You can trigger zoom, start and stop directly from within the picture, without having to use an app or reach for a remote control.
The AI Director Grids help you manage frame sections and preset positions more quickly. This makes your stream feel more dynamic and gives it a more professional, directed feel, even if you’re producing alone or with a small team.
With NDI support, the OBSBOT Tail Air can be flexibly integrated into modern streaming setups. Video, audio, control data and metadata can be transmitted over a network, making the camera particularly well-suited for multi-camera productions, church streams, live music, esports, education, interviews and events.
This allows multiple cameras to be seamlessly integrated into a workflow without having to wire each signal individually in the traditional way. The NDI licence key is available separately. For a stable wired connection, the appropriate USB-C to Ethernet adapter for the Tail Air is also required.
The Tail Air offers Micro HDMI, USB-C, wireless connectivity options and optional Ethernet via an adapter. The 4K signal can be output directly to monitors or video mixers via HDMI. USB-C is used for data transfer, power supply and webcam functionality.
The camera is controlled via Obsbot Start, Obsbot Live, OBSBOT Centre or, optionally, via the Smart Remote Controller. The remote control allows up to three Tail Air cameras to be controlled via Bluetooth.
The NDI licence key is included here. For wired Ethernet connections, the appropriate USB-C to Ethernet adapter for Tail Air is required. The first version of Animal Tracking supports cats, dogs and horses.
