With laminated mahogany top and back and laminated spruce top, Ortega's D7CE Acoustic Bass relies on a traditional wood selection that, combined with the 32" medium scale length (812 mm), promises a grown-up sound with deep low end and well-measured brilliance. The mahogany neck with a slim profile and 45 mm nut width also fits comfortably in the hand, so that any Bassline can be played with ease on the 18-fret rosewood fingerboard. The generous cutaway facilitates soloistic excursions into the higher registers.

MagusPRO/B pickup system

With the Ortega MagusPRO/B pickup system, the Deep Series D7CE-SBK-4 acoustic bass is perfectly equipped for use with a bass amplifier. Thus, the pickup convinces with its natural and unadulterated output of the sound character, while the preamp in the frame is not only equipped with a 3-band equalizer to adjust the sound, but also has an integrated tuner for quick tuning of the bass guitar. Moreover, the phase switch helps in preventing unwanted feedbacks.
