With the Ortega RFU10S Soprano Ukulele, manufacturer Ortega presents a model from its Timber series, which is characterised by its high quality and craftsmanship. Thanks to its lightweight construction, the soprano ukulele produces a very powerful sound that unfolds quickly and warmly in the mid and high frequencies. At the same time, a flat neck allows for very comfortable fingering across all 15 frets. The package includes a sturdy Ortega Deluxe gig bag.

Construction and woods

To ensure this small instrument can produce a powerful tone, the body is crafted from wafer-thin, laminated sapele wood. Furthermore, the matt finish plays a major part in ensuring that every note is produced with a quick response. At the same time, a mahogany neck with a walnut fingerboard ensures easy playability, so that even untrained fingers can produce a decent sound.

Hardware and Design

The centrepiece of the RFU10 is undoubtedly its high-quality hardware. Thanks to chrome-plated die-cast tuners, the four nylon strings can be tuned easily and precisely. In addition, a bridge insert and a finely notched 36 mm nut ensure accurate intonation across the entire 350 mm scale length. The ukulele is rounded off by a timeless and understated design.
