The Ortega RRG40CE-DBK-L for left-handers is part of the new Americana Series, which features an attractive vintage design combined with modern features. For example, a passive lipstick pickup allows amplified playing with regulation of volume and tone, while the appealing satin black finish presents a nostalgic Vintage-Look. Ideal for Bluegrass and folk.

Mahogany and a cone resonator create the distinctive sound

Structure and sound

With its mahogany body and mahogany top, the RRG40CE-DBK-L delivers high punch and a clear, compact sound to boot. Especially the mids are extremely well articulated here. At the same time, the distinctive cone resonator made of aluminium gives the characteristic twang rich in overtones and additionally increases the sound volume for a successful stage performance. Thanks to the built-in single cone, the sound unfolds quickly and is long-lasting.

Playability
Compact guitar with a handy design

Playability

Besides its unique sound, the guitar impresses with comfortable handling. Its mahogany neck with Blackwood fingerboard fits well in the hand and, due to a nut width of 43 mm, meets the necessary requirements for flatpicking and strumming. Also noteworthy are the generous cutaway, which provides access to the high registers, and the dot inlays for good orientation on the fingerboard.
